Sheafnote

Privacy Policy

Effective October 24, 2026

Sheafnote is a notes app for iPad and iPhone. It is built so that your notes belong to you. Sheafnote does not collect, sell or share any personal data, and it has no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking.

Where your notes are kept

Your notebooks, pages, handwriting, PDFs, images, recordings and flashcards are stored on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync, Sheafnote keeps a copy in the private iCloud database of your own Apple account so your devices stay in step. That data is held by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; the developer of Sheafnote cannot see it.

What Sheafnote does on your device

Network use

Apart from iCloud sync when you turn it on, Sheafnote does not connect to the internet. Links you write in a notebook open in your browser when you tap them.

This website

sheafnote.com uses no cookies and no analytics. It is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

Children

Sheafnote collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
